Advice on the preparation of BUD / s?
Hey, I've been interested in going to BUD / s to try to become a SEAL for a long time. Now I to join the Navy and give it a try. I am a bit heavy tho. I'm 5'9 "and about 217 Presentation. Wieghts I woke up in the past and has been in very good shape, but I just stopped. I'm going to do homework stamp listed in navyseals.com, but my question is: In my work I am in the habit of eating McDonalds for lunch, I still might do that if i training enough? Or do I have to cut completely, if so what would you recommend to eat? I need advice on nutrition. thank
It is necessary to drop about 40 kilos … if you are fat … and this is only an estimate. The physical "requirements" are minimum requirements. "Will join the Navy and give it a try" … "No … or not. There is no 'proof'. "(Yoda).'s Going to come to that. The people who" try " tend not to do too well. A SEAL was asked why not "sound" during BUD / S. His answer: "Lord, to me there is no bell." Fitness is only one factor. It is not key. If there is any doubt about whether or not you will be able to do, I can save a lot of trouble and pain … you will not. People will tell you about "Hell Week." They'll tell you how difficult it is. The last part of BUD / S consists of timed missions evaluation. If you do not complete their mission in time and satisfaction of who you are evaluating, you get to do it again. You never do well enough or fast enough. So the mission was inserted into the end of your day. The same applies to the next. So you're in almost 24 / 7 all the time. But by then, you're used to … or to be abandoned. In any case, that is what they want. People will tell you swimming is the key. They are wrong too. Swimming only gets you there. It's what you can do on the ground after swimming that makes you operational. Being a strong swimmer is an important factor, but not key. BUD / S is a walk in the park. Most of the things you've done is designed to ensure that happens. Buds / S has exactly the opposite goal. They want you fail BUD / S. They want you to fail at some point during your workout. They absolutely do not want you when you're not in the fleet. If during training, is a personal failure and does not really mean much in the grand scheme of things. If you fail to work, can mean the loss of thousands of lives and millions of dollars in equipment. For therefore ask you to stop smoking, ask to stop smoking, stop smoking require, invite you to stop smoking, you can sort, even quit smoking. You will be up neck in 50 degrees water with waves crashing over your head so that you can barely get a breath. His teeth chattered be because you're so cold. You will be completely exhausted. You starve for not having had a meal in. .. what has been … decades? His muscles have long ceased to obey his orders to make things. You will be eroded, and perhaps even broken. You have to rub raw sand in places that did not even know were places. On the beach you will light a stake. All you need is a little rest. Nobody will know. Or maybe a kid will come up in a zodiac and offer a bit of hot coffee … you can probably smell coffee. At the time of making a move for the beach, at the moment you reach for the coffee, even if you feel it then you are out there. They know what are their weaknesses, and exploit … and are good at it. At least that's the way it used to be. I do not think there is any way we can "prepare" for that. I think there is a "mini BUD / S" It is a long week. When I first heard it, I said it was a month long. So I do not know much about That could be one way to find out if you want to rally to get through the torture. Today there are SEAL / SWCC mentors to help you physically prepare for the test – check with a recruiter. But ultimately it is up to you.
