Every day since the war in Iraq began, Americans are what the media is allowed to share about the statistics, the causes, costs, plans and encouraging result. But do we really know what is happening, do we understand what war is? Bravedy Chuck shares his understanding from the point A veteran of view in "Iraq in My Eye: Memoirs of a Navy SEAL."
Who knows better what war is like someone who has been profound in it? To understand this military action, we could sit back and let the media tell you what he thinks, or maybe take a look at the experiences a man's personal. Bravedy begins the book with descriptions of his Navy SEAL training and what it takes to pass this test of endurance in the most high. SEALs get respect, no doubt. And so begins his tour in Iraq. Trained for covert night, Team 3 was forced to daylight and in full view of the insurgents to recognize, but were vulnerable. Quickly adapting to the environment and the demands placed upon them, the team began to wipe the insurgents and the arrest them to gather information. The daily reports we see on the IED is nothing compared to what is happening. The sample Bravedy understanding the reasons behind the placement of these devices is more American could not have. The drive to make money to survive is great. Most Americans also have an idea on the fact arrested the insurgents are paid for their time to compensate for the "illegal detention." Most are released rather than face any judge, only to be seen again the military suspicious behavior. It is a vicious circle. Bravedy going deeper into the mindset of terrorists and instigating and spreading behavior. This understanding has shaped their views of how we are progressing and what the U.S. role should be.
From the heart of a Navy SEAL, we begin to see the whole picture. Many of them could not agree with Bravedy ideas and political views, but it is an option for the understanding of the subject matter. A short memory part of the life of a man, as well as political commentary, "Iraq in My Eye: Memoirs of a Navy SEAL," will leave readers thinking.
