Navy SEAL not get to choose the team are in?

So I did some research in the U.S. Navy SEALs, as always I have been interested. From the information I have gathered, SEALs are gathered in a total of 10 teams from 2010: SEAL Team 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (later renamed), 7, 8, 10, and TVP 1 and 2 which have since merged as SDVT 1 in 2007). According to information I have gathered, each team has a specific area operation, ie, Southeast Asia, Southwest Asia, Europe, etc. If a person became a successful Navy SEAL, has the option to choose which SEAL team to join? Are members of a SEAL team (say SEAL Team 2, whose operation is an area Europe) are increasingly being deployed in another part of its operations outside own (eg Central and South America, which is usually the operative area of SEAL Team 4)?

Usually, it gets people in need. For example, if there is an opening 5 team and three openings on the Team in August, most likely you put into the team in August. However, if there is a clear need for the operators, I guess I wonder what languages that are more proficient in, and assign a team to the Area of Operations (AO) has such language. Since I was a PJ, I ordered to go all over the place, but I have friends that are hallmarks of several teams and everyone knows several languages.
